Pastor

Dr. Hager is Tabernacle’s 25th pastor. He began his ministry on August 1, 2008. Dr.  Hager has 19 years of pastoral experience, including 10 years at Calvary Baptist Church in Mount Airy, NC. In addition to his pastoral experience, he managed Baptist Book Stores (now LifeWay Christian Stores) in his native Kentucky for 7 years.  Wayne has an intellectual curiosity and values continuing education. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky (1978) and holds Master of Divinity (1981) and Doctor of Philosophy (1987) degrees from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.

Tabernacle warmly welcomes Wayne, Joy, and their children Laura, Nathan, and Matthew.
